STEAM Classes

Our STEAM classes are creative mixes of art and engineering concepts.  Class titles have included:

Construction Club: Projects vary from balloon-powered cars to kaleidoscopes to simple marble runs. These are smaller projects that usually take one or two hours to complete.

Marble Roller Coasters (various themes) Students work on a three-dimensional marble roller coaster, building their own tracks, tunnels and other elements, and also creating a diorama environment for the coaster with clay sculptures, drawings and paintings that fit the artistic theme of their roller coaster. Themes have included coral reefs, jungles, castles and dragons. This project is suitable for full-day or week-long camps, or an afterschool program at least 6 weeks in length.

Treehouse Architecture: Students create a three-dimensional model treehouse and a tree to support it. They also build ladders, platform fencing, swings and other accessories, and create clay animals that live around the tree. This project is suitable for full-day or week-long camps, or an afterschool program at least 6 weeks in length.
